What it costs to work with us
Four fixed fees, published before you commit. We are paid by patients, not by hospitals, and we take no percentage of your treatment bill — so nothing in our model rewards sending you to the most expensive option.
What we will not do
We accept nothing from a hospital, a clinic or a surgeon for bringing you to them. Our only revenue is the fee below.
Hospital charges are paid by you, directly to the hospital, against their invoice. We do not route that money and we do not add to it.
When we name hospitals, we explain why for your case. We do not accept payment for placement in any list.
Four tiers, one price list

What the fee does not cover
| Hospital charges | Consultation, surgery, anaesthesia, implants, drugs, bed days, ICU. You pay the hospital directly, on their invoice. |
| Care while admitted | Nursing aides, private nurses, meals, and anything the ward bills separately. |
| Travel and stay | Flights, visas, hotels, insurance, and local transport unless booked as an add-on. |
| Additional companions | Coordination of a second companion is an add-on; interpretation for them is charged by the day. |
| Complications | If your stay extends beyond the included days, extra days are charged at the daily rate below. |
Priced individually, no negotiation
| Airport or rail transfer, one way | $45 |
| Interpreter, full day (8 hours) | $130 |
| Extra day beyond the tier | $110 |
| Rush appointment within 48 hours | $90 |
| Coordination for a second companion | $180 |
| Translation beyond the first 30 pages | $18 per page |
| Visa invitation letter and document list | $60 |
| Remote follow-up for three months after discharge | $150 |
| Repatriation or medical transport coordination | Quoted at cost |
Add-ons are sold only with T1 or above. They are not available as standalone purchases: the person who meets you has to have read your records and have a coordinator's brief, and that only exists inside a package.
Payment and cancellation
| To confirm a booking | T0 and T1 in full. T2 and T3: half on booking, half on arrival. |
| More than 7 days before the start date | Full refund. |
| 2 to 7 days before | 70% refunded. |
| Within 48 hours | 50% refunded, or one free reschedule within twelve months. |
| If the hospital cancels or cannot treat you | Full refund or reschedule, your choice. |
| If treatment is extended | Additional days at the daily rate; we tell you before they accrue. |
A knee replacement, itemised
Numbers below are illustrative and rounded. Every patient receives a written estimate of this shape before paying anything.
| Coordination, T2 | $999 | Fixed, paid to us |
| Hospital episode, including the implant | ≈ $5,000–7,900 | Estimated in writing; final bill from the hospital |
| Accommodation, 9 nights | ≈ $540 | Paid to the hotel |
| Airport transfers, both ways | $90 | Add-on |
| Interpreting, 3 days | $390 | Add-on |
| **Total, outside the hospital** | **≈ $2,019** | Our fee plus third-party costs |
The ones we are asked most
Why not charge a percentage of the treatment cost?
Because it would make recommending a more expensive operation profitable. A fixed fee removes that incentive and makes our advice worth reading.
Can I pay the hospital through you?
No. You pay the hospital directly. It keeps the two relationships separate and means our income never depends on what the hospital charges.
What if the hospital changes its estimate?
We ask for the estimate before you commit, and we flag anything that could move it. If the final bill differs materially, we say why in writing.
What if I need to move my dates?
More than seven days out, we refund in full and you can rebook. Inside 48 hours, one reschedule within twelve months is included.
I booked T0 for $99. Can I upgrade to T1 later?
Yes. You pay only the difference, $300, not the full fee again. The credit holds for 90 days and applies to the same patient and the same case.
Can I buy only interpretation, without a package?
No. Add-ons attach to T1 or above, because the person accompanying you needs your records and a briefing before the visit. If interpreting is the only thing you need, a local agency will serve you better than we can.
Not sure which tier fits?
Start with T0. It is the cheapest way to find out whether China is the right answer at all — and if it is not, we will say so in the written opinion.
