Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 October 2026 · Written by the Wellward China editorial team

We collect the minimum we need to answer an enquiry. This page explains what that is, what we do with it, and how to get it removed.

Who this applies to

This policy covers information handled through wellwardchina.com. It does not cover hospitals, clinics, insurers or any other organisation you contact separately — including any we may introduce you to. Those organisations have their own privacy practices, and you should read theirs before sending them personal or medical information.

What we collect

Information you give us

The contact form asks for:

The form asks you not to send detailed medical records, passport numbers or payment details. Please respect that: anything sent through the form is stored less securely than a hospital record system, and you lose control of it once sent.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our pages are served through infrastructure that records standard technical information — IP address, browser type, referring page and pages requested. We use this to keep the site working and secure and to understand which pages are useful. We also use Cloudflare's Turnstile on the contact form to tell humans and automated scripts apart.

Why we use it

PurposeInformation used
Answering your enquiry and coordinating what you asked forName, email or WhatsApp, country, topic, note
Keeping the site secure and stopping abuseTechnical logs, Turnstile verification
Improving which information we publishAggregate, non-identifying page statistics
Meeting legal or accounting obligationsRecords relating to any service we provided

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We share your details with a hospital or clinician only when you have asked us to — for example, to request an appointment or a case assessment — and only the details needed for that request.

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and deliver enquiries, such as our hosting and form infrastructure and our email provider. They process information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose information where we are legally required to. We will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are deleted within a reasonable period. Where we do provide coordination, we keep the minimum record needed for our own accounting and for continuity if you come back to us, and we review it periodically.

If you want your information deleted sooner, ask us — see below.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site itself is designed to work without advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set cookies as part of serving pages and running Turnstile, for security and bot prevention. You can block cookies in your browser; the site should still work, though the contact form may require you to complete its security check.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

Email [email protected] and we will action what we can. If we are required to keep something for legal reasons, we will tell you why.

Children

Our content is written for adults making their own or a family member's healthcare decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child's details reach us as part of a parent's or guardian's enquiry, we treat them as sensitive and handle them only for that enquiry.

Security

We use encryption in transit and access controls on what we hold. No system is perfectly secure, which is one reason we ask you not to send detailed medical records through the website form.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here.
