Only a qualified clinician who has examined you and reviewed your own records can tell you what is appropriate for you. If you are considering care in China, ask the hospital for a written assessment based on your records before making plans or payments.
No clinician-patient relationship
Reading this site, contacting us, or asking us to coordinate an appointment does not create a doctor-patient or clinician-patient relationship with Wellward China or with anyone writing for us. Clinical decisions in your case are made by the licensed professionals at the hospital that treats you.
Emergencies
In mainland China, dial 120 for an ambulance. If you are outside mainland China, use your local emergency number. Do not use the contact form on this site for anything urgent — we may not see it in time.
Hospital details can change without notice
Hospital department structures, campus addresses, telephone numbers, international department arrangements and the languages available are all subject to change, sometimes quickly. We check these against official sources, but a page may be out of date by the time you read it.
Confirm anything that your visit depends on directly with the hospital before you travel — particularly the department that will see you, who to contact, and whether they can accept your case.
Prices are indicative
Where we show prices, including on our health check-up package pages, they are reference figures, not quotations:
- Amounts in US dollars are usually converted from a renminbi list price at a reference rate of CNY 6.8 to USD 1 and rounded up to the nearest ten dollars. Exchange rates move.
- Chinese hospital price lists are revised, and international or VIP departments are commonly priced differently from the standard tariff.
- A package price assumes nothing about your age, sex, medical history or which clinician you see, all of which can change what you are charged.
Ask for a written estimate that covers your own case before you commit to anything.
Outcomes vary
Results described on this site — including outcomes reported in studies we summarise — were achieved in specific settings with selected patients. They are not a prediction of what will happen in your case. No outcome is guaranteed, and no hospital or clinician we mention is being recommended for you personally.
Research summaries
Our Resource summaries describe published research. They exist to help you understand what has been reported and where. They are not treatment guidance, and a treatment described in a study may not be available, approved, or appropriate for you.

We link to hospital websites, journals, government publications and occasionally press coverage so you can check our sources. Once you leave this site, their terms and their information apply, not ours. We are not responsible for content on sites we do not control.
