Notes from Our Service Experience

The following reflects what we have learned while supporting international patients. Appointment arrangements, services and fees can vary; please confirm current details with the hospital.

01

Plan ahead for appointments

Based on our experience, appointments through the International Medical Department may become available about seven days in advance. If you plan to go independently, you may be able to book a few days ahead through the hospital’s official app or in person. The app does not offer an English interface, and registration counters may not have bilingual staff.

02

Consider whether the International Medical Department suits you

In our experience, foreign patients are generally not required to use an International Medical Department, though hospital policies may vary. Fees there are often substantially higher than at standard outpatient clinics. In return, it may offer dedicated consultation rooms, shorter waits, longer appointments and, in some cases, the ability to use international health insurance. For patients travelling alone, the additional support may make the visit easier.

03

A more cost-conscious route with coordination

For self-funded patients seeking a more economical option, we can help arrange care through the same channels used by local patients. Based on our experience, even after adding our coordination fee, the overall cost can be considerably lower than using the International Medical Department, while including advance appointment coordination, bilingual escort support and English medical reports.
